Alien 1979 - How many of these movies are there?

The first 10 minutes, or at least what felt like the first 10 minutes, were so quiet, I was painfully aware of how loud I was munching on my popcorn.

Then I started wondering: do the crew members get bedsores from those cryo machines? and are they so smelly? Also, there’s an orange cat named Jonesy—shut up, so cute.

I got a little distracted thinking about smoking in space. Honestly, I’d pay money to light up a cigarette in zero gravity. Between that thought and my fixation on Jonesy, I somehow missed what kind of ship they’re on and why they’re even in space. All I caught was the chaos over responding to the SOS signals, which felt like a bad omen. Obviously, I knew everyone was doomed, especially Parker and Brett, my blue-collar MVPs (they always go first).

Then Ellen Ripley showed up in her white Converse, and I completely spiraled. I just donated my own pair and immediately regretted it. They were my only shoes during my trip to Australia, where I almost got sucked into an escalator

Anyway, Jonesy the cat survived, and that’s all that really mattered to me in the end. Oh, and I shared a large popcorn and root beer with Boris while watching.

As for rating this movie, I’m not going to assign it a number because my feelings about films are totally subjective and often unrelated to whether they’re objectively good or bad. Alien? spooky.
